I actually did a week-long stay in the hospital at UCSF here in San Francisco where they put a port in my arm and gave me IV medication every eight hours for five and a half days.

It didn't seem possible that I could be as ill as I was and that something like this could work.

But there's so much good science about this stuff out there right now.

And we were sitting with friends, and one of them is a neurologist.

And I was kind of sheepishly explaining to him that I was feeling so much better because of this program,

and it's an app, and I know how weird that sounds.

And again, just sort of expecting

him to roll his eyes at me and he said very matter of factly that makes perfect sense to me a lot

of these techniques make sense and also the brain is kind of a black box. This is like mind, like body, a podcast about the crazy ways our thoughts and feelings can actually shape our physical health.
