We have officially made it welcome to Survivor Series week this week on Not Sam Wrestling,

we're celebrating being there by looking back at one of my favorite Survivor Series of all time,

this is Not Sam Wrestling.

Hey like we said it's Survivor Series week, less than a week away if you are listening

to this the minute that it comes out six days removed.

I don't think people get excited enough about Survivor Series.

I feel like a little bit of damage has been done to the brand over the course of the last

several years and I actually think that the brand warfare element of Survivor Series is

at least giving something back to it.

I think for you know the first not ten years but six years of Survivor Series being a thing,

it was all about you know teams of five and they were striving to survive but it became such

an event it was a thing that we could all count on.

I think over the course of maybe twenty years it became just another paper view.

I mean there's a lot of great Survivor Series moments that don't center around the team warfare,

you know you talk about and you use great but I would say classic moments memorable moments whether

it's the Montreal screw job whether it's the first elimination chamber match whether it's the

deadly games tournament and the rock turning heel so much stuff so many things Sean Michaels

and his brown tights they've all happened at Survivor Series but I think part of looking forward

to Survivor Series was always that there was a there was a theme about the show.

I love a themed paper view we don't have very many of them anymore and that's why Survivor Series

having the brand warfare. I know Corey Graves on his podcast was saying that uh that there

need to be stakes in order for us to care but I disagree I think if anything it just adds something
