building. Josh Behind the Glass producing for us. Guys, what? That was natural. We'll get it's out later.

1:07.4

Wow. Hard G. It's early a hard G early on the show.

Fellas. Fellas, boys. A two-hour premiere tonight. A lot to unpack here. We're just going to do this chronologically. So we haven't, obviously, we haven't done any test episodes or anything because you can't do a test episode when there's been no new survivor. We're just going to go through pretty chronologically. but overall, what were your thoughts to finally have some new survivor background screen?

1:46.9

A lot of changes tonight, a lot of different things, but still a pretty good cast. I do have hope for this season. It was just a lot at once tonight. I was oddly not confused that much by the rules. But it was a lot. Like, I don't think it was that it was confusing for me as that it was just a lot of different rules and that I think bogged it down a little bit I think you probably could have done

1:52.8

one less and I guess at hindsight because you didn't know that nobody would use the shot in the

1:58.8

dark but the shot in the dark being introduced and then not being used, it felt like unnecessary filler. Like, I feel like that's something maybe you do the next episode. Maybe you do that the next, the next vote. It just felt like a lot. I think when you look at it all laid out, easy to parse, but it's just a ton to thwart you for the first episode, which is already filled with a lot of expeditions and cast introduction. It was a lot of exposition, I guess. My question for the shot in the dark is we have no idea how many times you can use that. I have to imagine that's once a season. If you can use that every tribal, why would you not use it every tribe? Well, I guess because you lose your vote. 17%, and then when you vote someone out, it changes to 20%.

So are you still eligible to use it?

2:36.7

Or is that just the this episode thing?

2:38.3

I don't know.

2:39.2

That's something they should have definitely explained better.

2:41.8

Tommy, as someone who hasn't watched a live season since I believe season three when I was a

2:48.0

wee lad, and then I, like like probably a lot of people listening binge the

2:52.6

entire show during quarantine so much momentum going into it and I did think it fell compared to a lot

2:59.7

of other season premieres a little flat especially just how many new rules and twists there were

3:05.1

a ton of backstory to the players which which I don't mind, but they

3:08.7

were all so depressing. And so they just beat you down with it so much that I do think, I mean,
