All right, good morning and welcome to our second service on Sunday morning.

First service we devote our time to Bible prophecy and second service is the verse by verse teaching through God's word.

Last week we finished First Timothy and today we are going to begin our study through Second Timothy chapter

1 and our text will be verses 1 through 8 we'll encourage you and invite you at this time

to turn there if you're not there already and while you're doing that I just want to by way of

a reminder let you know that phase 1 of our new website at jdfrog.org is up and it is

really exciting to see the kind of interaction that we're having already. So if you

the video description there online. All right, let's get to it. Really looking

forward to what the Lord has for us today, as I think you're going to see here in a moment.

It doesn't matter where you're at in God's word, because where you're at in God's word is where you're at. That's not a play on

words because God's word is alive and active and sharper than any two-edged sword. And it doesn't

matter where you're at in God's word. It speaks to where you're at in your Christian life.

And such is the case today, as I'm sure you're going to see here shortly. So I'll ask you to stand

if you're able. If not, that's all right. Where you're seated is fine. You can follow along as I

read. Beginning in verse one, Paul, an apostle of Christ Jesus by the will of God,

in keeping with the promise of life that is in Christ Jesus to Timothy, my dear son, grace, mercy, and peace from God the Father and Christ Jesus,

our Lord. I thank God, verse 3, whom I serve, as my ancestors did, with a clear conscience.

As night and day, I constantly remember you in my prayers.

Recalling your tears, I long to see you so that I may be filled with joy. I am reminded of your sincere faith,

which first lived in your grandmother, Lois, and in your mother, Eunice, and I am persuaded

now lives in you also. For this reason, verse six, I remind you to fan into flame the gift of God,
