Summary

American and Israeli hostages are still being held captive in Gaza, as the Israeli Defense Force continues their offensive in the region. Retired Marine Sergeant Kevin Hermening recounts being held hostage by Iranian revolutionaries during the Iran hostage crisis and discusses the mental toll the crisis had on him. 0:57.5	I am very pleased today to be joined by someone who has a better understanding of what is going on with the hostage situation in Gaza than most people,
1:00.6	because Kevin Hermanning has lived it.
1:05.0	Sergeant Kevin Hermaning served in the United States Marine Corps.
1:10.5	He was serving at the Tehran Embassy back in 1979, when on November the 4th, he was taken hostage.
1:15.3	He was with 66 others, some of whom were released, some of them, you may have seen the movie
1:20.2	Argo, some of them got out right before the others were held for a very long time.
1:25.6	And there was one release that happened during the period of 444 days.
1:30.6	Kevin was there for the entire time.
1:32.6	So he joins me now to discuss the hostage situation that's unfolding.
1:36.7	And we all hope that we are near to a deal that will start to see the release of some of these
