a very, very special guest today.

I am lucky enough to be talking to John Lucky Lucky-Dew, who was a B-17 flying fortress

pilot in the Second World War, but at a crucial moment in the Second World War in that back

end of 1943, and he was flying with the 100th bomb group, flying out of four pabbets.

The 100th bomb group is one of the most celebrated of all the bomb groups I suppose.

Oh no, I mean we're absolutely thrilled about it.

Lucky, just before we get to joining the 100th bomb group and everything, I'd be really

interested to know about where you were born and brought up.

I mean, what was your journey before you actually joined the United States Army Air Force?

I was born in Chattanooga, Tennessee and grew up on what was known as missionary ridge.
