Summary

When these tests come upon us, it is our one moment when we can look at our circumstances, feel our feelings of despair, and then choose to say, "I don't understand, but I believe and I will wait, and I will rest, as an act of my will, because you are the Lord of Hosts and you are my Father."

Hi everyone, welcome to Add Home with Sally. I'm Sally Clarkson and I have the biggest

0:13.0

privilege in the world to be with so many friends from all over the world who join me every

0:18.6

week to listen to my stories, inspiration, biblical encouragement and I am just so glad

0:24.6

that you're here today. Thanks so much for joining me.

Hello my friends, whether you are in the morning or the night, I'm just so honored to be with

0:42.7

you in talking about some of the issues that really help us to restore, to feel understood,

0:49.4

to move forward to flourish. And today, my sweet friends and I, Missy and Kristen, you

0:56.3

know that they're joining me in this series this summer already by now. We've been talking

1:16.7

very difficult, dark times, dark times of the soul. And so we just kind of wanted to address

1:23.2

that today. Many of you are going with me through dancing with my father, which was a time when I

1:28.8

thought I don't want to be a victim of all the awful, deep, disappointing things that have

1:34.8

happened to me. I want to learn how to move forward and joy. And so this is kind of paralleling

1:39.4

some of what we're going to be talking about today, but I just thought it might be helpful for

1:44.8

you to hear from us three different perspectives of the ways that we have all experienced winter

1:52.0

seasons in our lives. And it is a part of life. And how we have come to the top of it. So welcome

1:58.2

to Daygirls. I'm so glad you're with me here. Thank you. We're glad too. We're all still in Colorado

2:04.0

together, having lots of fun talking way too much. Staying up way too late. Oh, it's just really,

2:09.6

really sweet. It's very sweet. But I kind of wanted to start out today and then I'm going to

2:14.4

kind of turn it over to you, Kristen, because you've prepared some of the notes for this. But I'm going
