Today, the journalist Danny Levelle

are living through homelessness

and what the government should learn

from experiences like his.

I was 26. I was living in a small flat in Greater Manchester.

And it was right at the end of my degree.

And for a month, I'd been abusing alcohol

and living quite her mythic lifestyle.

And for lots of complicated reasons, I ended up in a race.

And then one day, I just decided to leave my flat

and take a tent and live on a bridal path.

It was 2013 when Danny Levelle found himself alone,

homeless and facing his first night sleeping rough.

It was early evening.

I could hear the wind rustling through the trees

and rain drops bouncing lightly off my nylon roof.

I didn't have many things with me.

Just a change of clothes in my phone.

And I was just quite an ether-tie-tie-to-the-hole thing.

Really, I just thought something like this was always going to happen to me.

Life was coming hard at Danny.
