Today you'll hear from the heart of a mom who has a child with special needs and some of the challenges

and joys that she's experienced along the way. I'm John Fuller and thanks for joining us

in the studio with Dr. Danny Werthe, who heads up our parenting team. On Focus on the Family with

Jim Daly, Jim spoke to a panel of moms, three moms at very different points in their journeys,

and each of their children had different special needs.

But you're going to hear today from Sarah Klein about how she's learned some really beautiful

perspectives on parenting in those circumstances.

Sarah, you, I think, had some insight into the grieving process.

What were your observations with your circumstances?

A lot of us parents, even don't even need to be special needs parents to do that, but you

compare your journey to others.

And like Carrie said, there's a lot of shoulds.

With my son's diagnosis, it happens.

It's on the X chromosome.

So most boys, it's mostly boys that are impacted with it.

And I remember meeting a mom who had three under the age of six that all she just received a diagnosis had all been

diagnosed had all been diagnosed and then it's um it's also you're as the moms you're the carrier
