Summary

Leslie continues her Biblical mindset series with a Scriptural look at what it means to surrender bitterness to God. Whenever we have been wounded or offended by others, we often feel it is our right to cling to those offenses, to nurse anger and bitterness in our hearts, and to see the person as an enemy rather than someone to whom we can show God's love and mercy. But when we allow a root of bitterness to grow within our hearts, as Hebrews says, our inner lives become distorted and defiled. It’s impossible to showcase the beauty of Jesus Christ when we are hosting resentment in our hearts. As Leslie reminds us in this episode, God can enable us to surrender bitterness to Him and be completely set free from its' destructive power.
