0:23.5	necessary to give Jesus your all. Welcome to the first 15 podcast. Our scripture for today comes from Matthew 10, verse 39.
1:00.3	Scripture says,
1:01.8	Whoever finds his life will lose it.
1:05.7	And whoever loses his life for my sake will find it.
1:12.6	Jesus makes an important and paradoxical statement in Matthew 1039.
1:18.6	Whoever finds his life will lose it.
1:22.6	And whoever loses his life for my sake will find it.
1:26.6	What does it look like to lose your life for his sake?
1:32.2	How is it possible to find life as the result of losing it?
1:38.2	You and I are only truly living to the degree that we've surrendered our lives to Jesus. True life is eternal,
1:48.4	kingdom-based, and fueled by the love of God. Life apart from God is fleeting and meaningless.
1:57.8	It's for this reason, Solomon in Ecclesiastes 1, verse 14 says,
2:02.7	I have seen everything that is done under the sun, and behold, all is vanity and a striving
2:11.1	after wind. We have opportunity every day to lay our lives down at the feet of Jesus in response to his
2:21.9	great love that we might experience the abundant life only he can give. Surrender positions our
2:31.2	hearts to receive the incredible reward of being fully gods.
2:37.5	God won't force his blessings on us.
2:41.5	He won't force his presence or his love.
