Now, it was a challenging reminder for each of us to embrace our roles as bond servants, slaves of the Lord.

If you've listened to Revive Our Hearts for any length of time, you know that one of my very

favorite characters in the scripture is Mary of Nazareth, Mary the Mother of Jesus.

And there are many things that I love and admire about this

woman, but one of my very favorite moments in her life is when she responds to the angel,

who's been sent from God to tell her that she's going to have a child, though she has never

been intimate with a man, that the child is going to be the son of God,

and she's to be the mother.

There was the impossibility of it all, and then there had to be the sense that this was not what she had planned.

She was engaged to be married.

She was thinking about things that engaged girls think about, which is basically
