Summary

This week Seth, Bill, and third amigo Jon Parshall wrap up the Pacific war with the surrender ceremony aboard the battleship USS Missouri. The conversation doesn't start there, however. The guys get into the details of the early occupation, how American troops got to Japan, how many, how often, and all the stipulations in between. Before we get to the surrender ceremony we take a fascinating look at the rescue of General Jonathan Wainwright at the hands of the OSS in Sian, Manchuria. 1:03.7	Yes, it sucks. It'll be fine, right? It will. It will. Eventually, by the time you get used to it, by the time you get used to this time change, it'll change again.

1:45.8	before or since. At long last, the war that had consumed the better part of 46 months for the United
1:51.5	States and taken the lives of over 400,000 Americans, not to mention millions upon millions of
1:56.7	Chinese, Indonesians, Vietnamese, and other Asian allies, as well as our European allies, was
