When did you first realize that you're spiritual?

Perhaps it's a truth you've always sensed, or maybe it's only just now dawning on you.

Either way, this realization changes everything.

Scripture declares God is Spirit.

Therefore, to be spiritual is to know that we are God's, the loved and loving expression

of divine love, which is another name for God.

We are not struggling mortals, but the radiant outcome of God, complete, cherished,

and inherently good. To be spiritual is to be infinitely sound and strong just as spirit or God

is. Mary Baker Eddy summarizes this idea in science and health with key to the scriptures.

Spirit is the only substance, the invisible and indivisible infinite God.

Things spiritual and eternal are substantial, things material and temporal are insubstantial.

Because we are spiritual, we can always be aware of what we eternally are, even in the midst of everyday life.

Whether washing dishes, writing reports, or comforting a friend, right there we are God's spiritual

expression, and so is everyone else.

Because we are spiritual.

Understanding God gives hope when the world seems uncertain,

or if alienation tempts us and appears to drive us towards self-destructive choices.

Being spiritual means we are totally independent
