| 0:46.3 | Let's get to it. So if you watch the news about a month ago, you may have seen a major winter storm fly through the United States, which caused all kinds of fun chaos in the world of winter weather. |
| 1:13.7 | And part of that big winter storm was a bunch of ice. |
| 1:18.5 | And then ice came in the form of freezing rain and sleets and snow and chaos. |
| 1:23.7 | That's in the Nashville region where my wife and family and I live, we got hit with a major, major ice storm. |
| 1:32.3 | We've had them before. |
| 1:33.4 | This is not the first time, but this one was different. |
| 1:36.9 | This one didn't just take the power out or take the trees out. |
| 1:41.3 | It took everything out. |
| 1:42.4 | It just wiped the city of all of our potential to |
| 1:45.7 | function and do things for a long, long time. To keep this story fairly brief, what ultimately |
| 1:52.6 | happened was that the ice knocked down a bunch of trees, which knocked down power lines. |
| 1:57.8 | And for our home on the outskirts of Nashville, we lost power for three days. |
| 2:03.6 | Now, that's the longest by far we've ever had a power outage here. |
| 2:07.4 | Prior to that was about eight hours or so. |
| 2:10.2 | We do lose power quite a bit here because there are so many trees, but this was the longest |
