Welcome back. It's Beyond the Box Score. I'm Dan Schneier. That's Jacob Gibbs. We are working our way through the pre-draft process. The draft Jacob is just less than 24 hours away. I'm freaking excited about it. I loved how excited and amped up and just joyous it was to talk receivers with you yesterday. And I kind of liked this receiver class more than I expected. Today's show might not have that energy. Now, I'm just kidding. We're going to find energy for this running that class. But I just talked about this was Jacob before the show. I'm like, I'm stunned at this

running back class. I really am because I spent so much time this morning trying to find my sleepers in this class. And there's guys I can somewhat get on board with, but I'm not going to put my stamp on these players because there are so many parts of their profile that I don't like and I'm not going to force anything. And that's how I feel. Now, the beauty of the running back position in fantasy football and dynasty is this guys will emerge it's the one position where injuries do put players into

situations where they can outperform your expectations for them based on their tape based on their

analytic profile based on anything and that will happen and we'll learn those guys we'll like those guys

we'll get in bored with them and we still have some of the guys up top in this class that I do really like,

Jacob, in that top 10 range.

But just from a depth standpoint, I'm just stunned, like looking at last year's class. Like, I remember a guy we talked about last year, Jarkwez Hunter, where would you put him in this class, for example? He didn't even get to play last year.

I might put him in my top five.

some of the guys play last year. I might put him in my top five. Yeah, we just got a question from the chat about, you know, Jark West Hunter and Taj Brooks, some of the guys from last year that were interesting that didn't get much of a chance. Right. In year one, you could throw DJ Giddens into that group as well. And yeah, it's an exercise we're going to do later on. I stacked up some of the running back prospects, dating back to 2020, that sort of remind me of some of the guys in this class. And I want to pick your brain and be like, what about this guy versus this guy, you know? Right. As far as your question, where would Jarquez be in this class? I think he could be RV2. I know. Me too, dude. I think he's as good from a film perspective as any of the guys in this class.

He had several years of good analytics at a high level playing in the SEC.

He doesn't have the receiving and potential like pass blocking and stuff like that

that somebody like Jonah Coleman does maybe

Mike Washington Jr.

Maybe Emmett Johnson, although I worry about his size a little bit.

So like he, Jarquez was more of like a Judaring Price type of player.

It's like he, you just need him to be getting gash plays and lots of them.

But then when he gets drafted the Rams, it's like, okay, well, this is interesting because

this is a really good offense.

And so if he gets on the field, he might be somebody who gets you a lot of yards and

touchdowns, even if they're receiving stuff's a little bit removed from where you typically
