So today inshallah our intention is to continue our discussions on Sultaqaf picking up from Ion number 95, where we left off yesterday.

I decided to go live today just to inform you that this is what I've been busy with over the last couple of months and will remain busy

Probably for the next couple of months completing the the serious study of Sultaqaf. It's being held here at the Bayina campus every night, five nights a week

And so if any of you are ever visiting Dallas or happen to be in town you can swing by and attend between Makarib and Aisha

For those of you that are interested in the entire series in Sultaqaf which I started a couple of years ago and then left off in the middle and then picked up again

The entire series is on bayina.tv and the rest of this series even though this particular session is coming up on social media also is not going to be on social media

In fact the majority of my work on the Quran especially the Deeper Look series where I try to go in depth via by Ion the Quran

The library of that work is on bayina.tv and you're welcome to access that just a quick note about bayina.tv those of you who don't have a subscription to it and would like one there are two options

And my intention is to evolve that platform so I can engage in more direct Quran studies related work with the following that's there

The technology behind it is evolving as we speak so eventually I hope to be able to do live presentations from within bayina.tv and I have interactions with my audience through that platform also because as all of you might know social media is an open crazy place

So being focused into your studies requires that you have a space where everybody's focused on the same thing and we're having productive conversation and not distracted by any other tangents right so and for that reason I think it's it's absolutely important that we have a platform where there can be that kind of focused engagement

So regardless every now and then I do post material on social media for everybody's consumption also because I think that's an important way to you know to reach out to those of you that may not have access or may have bad internet connections or whatever else regardless because this is a lecture today that many of you are not keeping up with the series

I'll just mention something very brief so we can have some context before I get into the aya this is again as the screen says 95 i95 of surat al-Kahav

We're going through the story of Dhul-Karnayin and he has made two stops in his journey and on his third stop he's met a group of people that barely have any ability to communicate with him and he finds a creative means by which he can actually interact with them and once he does they let him know what the issue is which was in the last aya

They told him that no doubt that no doubt that these people are causes of great corruption in everywhere in the land in the region meaning everywhere also means that they are heading this way meaning they've come to know that the attack is coming and it's imminent that they're going to be invaded and overrun by this barbaric tribe

and so they turn to him and ask for help so it can be furnished you with some kind of a levy attacks some kind of a homage that's given to a king homage so that we can fund you so that you can build a dam or some kind of a wall a barrier a sed between us and them

Baena wa baena home said that the word said is used for mountains it's also used for any other kind of barrier and so when he entered between the two mountains to get into this valley where he met these people Allah used the word said dain
