County of El Dorado—a property rights case which will be reviewed by United States Supreme Court. The Pacific Legal Foundation writes: “The government can’t hold the right to use your property hostage in order to extract exorbitant fees. That’s akin to extortion… Permit fees must be proportional to the public costs imposed by new development. • While appearing on Fox News, Republican presidential candidate Nikki Haley argued that the government should prevent social media users from posting anonymously—requiring that accounts be verified with usernames and other identifying information.
