Rob Kendall has the day off. So yesterday, the Supreme court

allowed Title 42 border restrictions to remain in place for

now putting on hold the removal of the policy, which was set

to end the court ruled five to four in favor of an emergency

request by Republican attorneys general from 19 states they

sought to intervene in defense of the Trump era policy. So the

Supreme court is now running border security because President

Biden has not. Is that what we're doing now? Is that what's

going on? Well, you know, this was interesting to me, Casey,

because you know, looking a little bit into the history of

Title 42, I mean, it was an existing piece of legislation, but

this does show you that effective legislation can in fact help

curb some of the challenges that we've got at the southern

border. It's not the panacea. I mean, it's not going to fix

everything, but you see that it can be very effective and make a

huge difference. So the trick now is that the Trump administration

was able to utilize that title 42 in order to accomplish

something that, you know, was it really intended originally for

this? No, but they've been able to extend it. They found it's

been effective. And so we have to have some replacement
