I hope you're really learning a lot.

The next speaker is James Bolton, and he has a podcast called The Queens of England

podcast.

And I first found him almost two years ago now and he was

still pretty new. And I thought, I want to do something with him. And so I wrote to him. And since that

time, he's been, he did a guest episode on my show about Henry the Eighth's mistresses. And then we did

an episode together on Catherine Averagon.

And so I'm really excited that he's taking part in this. So I have to tell you, my little caveat

about the videos, when I recorded this, I don't know what was going on with my internet.

I live in rural Spain, right? It's like every time it rains,

the internet goes out. I don't understand it, but it's how it is. Um, and so our internet,

like, was just not working. So I actually turned off my video. And so it's just him. And so I've added

the questions and you'll see. But anyway, that's my caveat on the video.

Like I said before, it's a learning experience, right? It's a learning experience. So,

hope you're having fun. James is amazing. And let me introduce him to James and the Queens of

England. So too often when we think about the history of a country,

we think about the kings and the lords, the castles and battles. Even when we consider rulers,

we think about people like Elizabeth I in Victoria when we think of queens. But what about

the queens who sat beside their husband, the queen's consort? The generations of women who held no formal power,
