Welcome in friends to Mission Log a Roddenberry Star Trek podcast supplemental.

I'm John Champion. I'm Ken Ray and today is today's not really a

supplemental. At least it's not a normal supplemental.

This is a couple of guys who are fans of Star Trek who have spent a lot of time looking at

that Nimoy's work over the years and wanted to say something and pay respects and we'll hear a little bit later today from Rod Rodenberry.

So we won't have the formality of a normal episode of Mission Log.

This is just more kind of from the heart.

Ken, I assume that the same thing happened to you as happened to me. You woke up and you saw on

social media and on your phone and everywhere just huge reaction about the announcement of Littendenoy's death.

It's worth pointing out that we were recording this Saturday morning, the announcement was made Friday morning, and very quickly a lot of people who listen to Mission Log said,

hey, can you please record something? Can you please do something about Leonard Des Moines?

So here we are.

And yeah, um, actually, my wife told me,

before she went to work because she was up earlier than I was.

Yeah.

Yeah, I'm, it's, well, I don't know.

Where are you on it?

Because I hate, I was reticent. I'll be honest, I was reticent. I'll be honest I was reticent to do this. Yeah because I've been having like this whole you know weird range of things and the thing that bothers me most is it's not about me and I'm not saying it bothers me that it's not about me but I don't even want to talk about what my thinking about it is because

Everybody comes with something of their own and everybody goes away with something of their own right I'm having this weird thing where it's like I miss the actor.

I'm not, I have no feelings about Spock in this, which is kind of strange because Spock's not gone.

Yeah.

And I know if that's, and I've been trying to like come up with like what that is exactly.
