we're going to cover Henry the 7th's reign. In the first audio course we did last month, we talked about the Wars of the

Roses. And so now we're moving on and we are talking about Henry and how he consolidated power

journey with you. So let's get right into it. Henry the 7th. This is section 1, the rise of Henry

the 7th. Henry the 7th was born Henry Tudor on January the 28th, 1457 at Pembroke Castle in Wales.

And he emerged from relatively obscure origins to ascend to the English throne, founding the

Tudor dynasty that would profoundly shape the course of English history.

His birthplace, Pembroke Castle, is a formidable fortress overlooking the Milford Haven Waterway,

and it was symbolic of his initially precarious claim to royalty, nestled on the fringes of the English realm.
