Surprise!

If you'll forgive this little buttoning into your enjoyment of the end of your week, I have a couple of notices to give out about the podcast.

I was going to talk about these at the start of the Catherine Howard finale, then it all got a bit long, far better to surprise you all on a Thursday afternoon.

First of all, I'm going to be recording a chat episode on Monday evening with Elizabeth Norton,

the author of a ton of books on English queens, especially the Tudor ones.

I'm currently formulating the questions, and it's mostly going to be a discussion of

Henry VIII's wives in depth, looking at trends, controllsies, and of course the all-important

question of who is our favourite. But I think it would be no fun if I didn't

open the floor up for some of your questions. What would you like to ask Elizabeth? What would

you like us to discuss? I've already posed this question on the Facebook page, so find that

My second piece of news is a little more inside baseball and behind the curtain.

Over the last few weeks, I've been in the process of moving my media hosting service to ACAST.

This you won't really notice. What you will notice is that going forward, there are going to be

adverts at the start and end of episodes. They probably won't be on all of them, and it may be a few

weeks before they start to appear more regularly, but they will be there. They will be specific to

your region too, no annoying ads for products and services that you can't buy. If you're

listeners to podcasts like the History of

England, Naisance English History Podcast, or 10 American Presidents, then you'll be familiar with

this system, as they are also hosted on A-cast. I won't be doing any mid-roll ads. I think those
