Claire Ridgway is a British writer of history books about the Tudor dynasty with a particular focus on the life of the Berlin family.

Since 2009, she has run the website to the Ann Bolin Files.com and Elizabethfiles.com.

They were, the family that Anne came from was landed gentry.

It wasn't, she wasn't common, she wasn't even middle class

and the kind of way we'd say it. She was not aristocratic. Her mother's family, the habits were,

you know, aristocratic. But her, you know, the balloons, they weren't aristocracy, but they were

wealthy, they were landed gentry.

I mean, her was a great-grandfather, was Lord Mayor of London.

He was a Mercer as well, but he'd written to be Lord Mayor of London.

So landed gentry, I think Garret Russell sort of explained it really well.
