God, when he created Adam,

he created Adam, both male and female.

And Adam was complete in himself.

He had both parts inside of him.

But when he was put into the garden,

he was, I'm sure there wasn't anything that he lacked in there

because God was with him.

So how could he lack anything?

But yet God looked at Adam and he said,

do you know what, there is something that he's in need of?

There's something more.

He doesn't just need my companionship,

but he's in need of something more,

something that can walk beside him,

something that can live with him day and night.

Somebody that can be a help mate to him.

And so he recognized, God recognized that,

even though God was all in all for Adam,

that he needed something more.

And so he ended up taking the whole thing

and fashioning her out of the rib of Adam.
