I'm of course your host, John Campia. This is the show where we talk about those things that we love so much. Movies and movie news, TV and streaming, all that good stuff. with some pretty sad news. The folks over at Newsweek are reporting that a beloved actor, James Vanderbeek, from Dawson's Creek and Varsity Blues fame, has died at the age of 48.

James Vanderbeek, they write, best known for his role as Dawson, Leary on Dawson's Creek, and his breakout performance in varsity blues and among other

things has died at 48 after a battle with stage 3 colon cancer. His wife Kimberly announced the news on

Instagram writing that he passed peacefully this morning and faced his final days with courage,

faith, and grace. The couple had six children children he was originally diagnosed back in

November of 2024 and you know every once in a while I'm not comparing the value of any

life but every once while you know we hear about a highly Hollywood icon passing at the age of

And it's sad, but we celebrate a life they had and living it to the fullest and all that kind of stuff.
