I'm feeling festive and when I say festive, I mean

Ghosty festive, you know what I'm saying and that in a way is kind of what we are going to be talking about today

Life goals can sometimes feel like they are

Always in the future. They're like

Some distant point that we're going to get to someday

But life is happening to us every god damn day every week every month every year

When I set my 2023 goals at the beginning of the year

Those goals weren't all about beavering away all year towards some finite goal that manifested on one specific day and would make my life so much better

Some of my goals were just to be present to show up as my best self and to make the most of occasions such as

The summer or birthdays or the holidays such as Christmas or Halloween or whatever

And that sounds simple, right? But as 98% of you listening are women and a large percentage of you will be mums and a percentage of that

Further still will be working mums. We are the most time poor demographic in society

We ain't got no fucking time to ourselves if you have any children whatsoever. You will know

You can't go for a wee by yourself. You can't have a shower by your god damn self. We've got no fucking time

And so as we juggle like work commitments

Trying to keep up with our friends

Doctors and dentists appointments fucking smear tests. They come around sooner than you think housework

Home life personal fucking hygiene just remembrance wash your hair a couple of times. I got damn weak

Being a good partner being a good friend being a good daughter

Cooking healthy meals achieving our personal goals. Oh, the list is goddamn endless
