Welcome back to the PFF NFL show.

Dalton Washington, Trevor Sykima, here with you guys to recap what was the Super Bowl last night.

0:28.2

Congratulations to the Seattle Seahawks, champions of the football world,

0:32.4

29 to 13, as a final score.

Dalton, it was a fun game to watch such, I think, a great defensive matchup between

0:41.0

these two teams.

0:41.9

I think some people might look at the game overall and go, ah, man, this wasn't very

0:46.0

fun game for three quarters, although we were sweating the overrunner there at the end,

0:50.1

with the overrunner being 45 and a half, and we actually were kind of getting to that point

0:54.6

where that almost was the reality.

0:56.5

But man, just let's start by talking about Seattle.

1:00.8

And the unbelievable job that they have done feels like over the last three months specifically,

1:07.7

where I think they have proven that they were the best team in the

1:12.4

NFL this season. And I think their game plan, their execution. I know it wasn't the best

1:17.3

offensive day, like from Sam Donald in the past game, things like that. But brother, what Mike

1:22.2

McDonald was able to do with this team and what John Schneider has done as their general

1:26.2

manager to put this roster together, it was unbelievable to watch it manifest and to have so much success last night. Starting with the game last night, look, Seattle feels like, and I think we can pretty much agree on at this point. They're the best defense in football. No question. No question at this point. They fly around. They're great at all three levels. Mike McDonald creates pressure maybe better than any coach in the league right now. And you look at last night, one number sticks out to me. The Patriots had 83 net yards in the first three quarters of this game. I mean, obviously some of the numbers look a lot more even. Like when you look at the offensive numbers in this game at the end of it, they look just about identical for both teams, but that was really not the case. A bloated fourth quarter for New England as they're trying to come back and just sling it

2:03.9

downfield and get back in it. But to go into a Super Bowl in the first three quarters and give up

2:08.1

83 yards and no points. And New England in that time only crossed midfield once in the first

2:13.4

quarter. McDonald built such a balanced, well-rounded defense that dominated basically everybody

2:20.4

they played this year except for the Rams. And that was with honestly the best quarterback in
