I'm Robert Mays and joining me tonight.

0:38.1

It's my good buddy, Nate Tyson. How, how are you doing? I'm good. That might not have been Patriots Rams. The spread, my only has been three points, but it just felt that was a startling result. So let's start there, because I was asking myself this question, and I wanted to ask you this question, which is get going.

0:58.2

So the Bucks beat the Chiefs 31 to 9 in the Super Bowl. I'm sure some of you guys watched. One or two. Is that the greatest defensive performance you have ever seen in a Super Bowl in your lifetime? Yeah. Am I? I think so, too. Yeah. I mean, the only other one up there is the Giants Pats game from 2007, but guess who is the same defense quarter.

1:03.8

But it's not in the same way that that game got done.

1:05.7

But that was unbelievable.

1:11.2

We talked about right before we got in the show was unbelievable was that third down that the Bucks brought where they brought the corner and they brought the nickel and it became created like a little saw pressure

1:15.0

saw is usually Sam the will early in the game early in the game i would say i think the second series second

1:19.3

second yeah i think it might have been the second possession second possession and it was like oh oh

1:24.9

bulls got some stuff like bulls okay all right let's see what he's got. And then never did it again. And then he just took it all away, just all that prepping, all the in between series stuff. And yeah, it caught him leaning. Because it was so funny because when they came out and they did that for those guys who didn't see it, they brought the nickel and the outside corner on the third down. I was like, oh, shit. They're going deep into the bag in this game. And I wasn't sure if we had just been totally wrong. Because you and I both thought that it was going to be fairly simple, rush four, too high, a lot of two men that play a little bit, you know, not safe, but that was going to be the overall approach. And when they did that, I was like, maybe they're just going to throw everything against the wall and see what sticks. But then over the course of the game, I want to say they only brought more than four pass rushers five times the whole game. And they played a lot of two high safeties. So that's what they did. They eventually kind of settled into the game plan we expected from them.

2:19.9

But the little tiny details within that game plan were absolute genius.

2:26.3

So you and I were talking about this before we started.

2:28.6

When they were bringing four, they did, that's what they did all game.

2:32.3

And if you look at the pressure numbers, it's absolutely insane.

2:35.3

Mahomes was pressured 29 times on 56 dropbacks, according to ESPN next gen stats, which

2:40.7

it felt like that, right?

2:42.0

When they got their second sack late in the second half, I was like, they only have two sacks.

2:47.4

Seth Walder tweeted this out, an amazing stat.

2:50.0

Mahomes ran 497 yards over the course of the game because he was really the entire

2:55.3

time.

2:55.5
