at NBC Sports.com and Pro Football Talk.com. You know it was really an interesting

Super Bowl 54. I liked it a lot. I'm going to get to the to the lead of my column in a minute, which basically is about Andy Reed and

Patrick Mahomes. I don't think in the history of my column, and I've been doing this column for going on 23 years now and I don't believe that I have ever led the column with the same team three weeks in a row.

But the Kansas City Chiefs won the Super Bowl and coming off covering the

AFC championship game against Tennessee and then writing to work with Andy Reed last

week.

It just, I, you know, I don't know.

It feels like I've gotten to know the chiefs awfully well in the last few weeks.

But we'll get to the column in a moment but I had a

couple of recordings that I wanted to share with you. The first is a recording from the Kansas City locker room.

I had a short conversation with Patrick Mahome soon after the game.

And obviously, Patrick Mahomes

with another great performance.

But as I covered this game, what was so crazy is that he was almost to go to the week.

If this was a three period game, if this was hockey, he would have been the go to the week, three periods, but you know,

Mahomes, I think, becoming the youngest ever Super Bowl MVP.

I thought he really did a good job at what quarterbacks have to do,

which is have a short memory. Part of my column is basically about how you know the the way this game

went. Patrick Mahomes ended up, you know, as I found out after the game in the locker room,

he's the one who called for the biggest play of the game, know the 44-yard pass to Tyree-Kill in the fourth

quarter that really sparked the Kansas City Chiefs so let's start with that play and let's start with my conversation
