On Today's show I get you updated on all the stories I think matter here on earth one and then I share an interview that my friend David Rothkopf did with Stanford's Mark Jacobson on an episode of The Road to COP 28 . That starts at 20 mins in
"While global desire to address climate change continues to rise, we need to be wary of “greenwashing” policies that distract from real, substantive change. "
Stanford’s Mark Z. Jacobson’s career has focused on better understanding air pollution and global warming problems and developing large-scale clean, renewable energy solutions to them. Toward that end, he has developed and applied three-dimensional (3-D) atmosphere-biosphere-ocean computer models and solvers to simulate and understand air pollution, weather, climate, and renewable energy systems. He has also developed roadmaps to transition countries, states, cities, and towns to 100% clean, renewable energy for all purposes and computer models to examine grid stability in the presence of 100% renewable energy. Jacobson has been a professor at Stanford University since 1994. His research crosses two fields: Atmospheric Sciences and Energy, each discussed next.
Mark joins David Rothkopf on this special episode to differentiate the good policies from the bad, and outline the pitfalls that the upcoming COP 28 conference must avoid.
