Governor DeSantis declares a state of emergency.

Millions of Floridians are bracing for a strong storm building up now in the Gulf of Mexico,

and state officials expect the tropical depression to become a tropical storm later today.

And they now believe the tropical storm or hurricane

will make landfall on Florida's northwestern coast above Tampa by Wednesday.

The governor's executive order covers almost half of Florida's counties

and more than 10 million Floridians who could be affected by that storm if the weather service's current models of the storm path hold up.

The state of Louisiana has a crisis of its own.

An unprecedented number of wildfires are raging across the state.

An incredible 441 fires are broken out between the first of the month and the end of last week.

The Gateway Pundit reporting state forestry officials say they've never seen anything like this.

And the department suspects arson in a number of those fires.

Evacuations have been ordered in southwestern Louisiana near the Texas border.

And in Georgia, a different kind of firestorm over a comment by Governor Brian Kemp.

Kemp told a gathering of voters in Perry, Georgia that if, quote,

you give anybody a voting machine, they can hack it.

In quote, as if there weren't already enough controversies in Georgia over the voting machines,

already a leading University of Michigan computer expert has delivered a month's long study

showing that Georgia voting machines had at least nine vulnerabilities to outside manipulation.

The Daily Mail reports that the drowning death of President Obama's chef to fire a Campbell is spawning conspiracy theories after conspiracy theories.
