today's show with the news that the former footballer the manager journalist and Sky Sports

presenter Jimmy Hill sadly passed away yesterday at the age of 87. Jimmy made 380

appearances as a player for Brentford and then Fulham. He scored 62 goals in the

process. He went on to manage Coventry City and in his six years there he achieved

legendary status as head of the Sky Blue Revolution. Perhaps most of us though will

remember him as Jimmy Hill the broadcaster where he fronted BBC's match of the day.

He covered nine World Cups, and then, of course, he joined us here at Sky Sports, where he began,

this very show from 1999, presenting it all the way through to 2007.
