God bless. So for this morning, I'm going to be preaching from 1 John chapter 2 verses 12 through 14.

First John chapter 2 versus 12 through 14. If you've been with us since the beginning of Covenant Bible Church,

we first gathered for worship on the Lord's Day, covenanted as a church. The first Sunday of

April 2021, we began a series through the Psalms. After that, we began a series through the book of Hebrews.

We recently completed our series through the book of Hebrews, and what we've done is kind of

paused from our bread and butter, the typical preaching diet of this congregation, which

is expositional preaching through whole books of the Bible

from the beginning to the end. We're taking a brief pause. Last week, if you were with us,

I preached on the importance of biblical church membership. This week, the entire sermon will

be devoted to the importance of the assurance of salvation.

Next week, Lord willing, I'll be preaching on the importance of the gospel,

particularly how the gospel is the fuel towards obedience to the law of God.

The following week will be Easter Sunday, where I will be preaching on the importance of

the bodily resurrection. And then, Lord willing, we will begin a new sermon series through the

book of Joshua. When we finish the book of Joshua, we will begin another sermon series through
