Joshua chapter four, focusing our attention primarily on verses 1 through 10, as well as the end of the chapter,

verses 19 through 24. So again, our text for today

is Joshua chapter 4, verses 1 through 10 and 19 through 24. Would you join me now in standing for

the reading of God's word? I'll read the text in its entirety. When I finish reading the text,

I'm going to say, this is the word of the Lord, at which point I would appreciate very much if you would respond by saying,

thanks be to God. One final time, our text for today is Joshua, chapter 4, verses 1 through 10,

as well as verses 19 through 24. The Bible says this,

When all the nation had finished passing over the Jordan,

the Lord said to Joshua, take 12 men from the people, from each tribe a man, and command them

saying, take 12 stones from here out of the midst of the Jordan, from the very place where the

priest's feet stood firmly,

and bring them over with you and lay them down in the place where you lodged tonight.

Then Joshua called the twelve men from the people of Israel, whom he had appointed, a man from each tribe.
