Good morning and welcome.

So anyway, thank you.

We're so glad that you are.

This is our second service sermon, which is a verse by verse study through God's Word.

We're currently in the Gospel of Mark and our text today will

be chapter 1 in the Gospel of Mark verses 9 through 13. So what I'll have you do since David

didn't have you stand. He left the, David left the building. So I'm going to have you to stand for the reading of God's word. If not, where you're seated is fine. He can just follow along as I read and that's fine.

Verse 9, Mark, by the Holy Spirit, writes,

At that time, Jesus came from Nazareth in Galilee and was baptized by John and the Jordan.

As Jesus, verse 10, was coming up out of the water, he saw heaven being torn open and the spirit descending on him like a dove.

And verse 11, a voice came from heaven.

You are my son, whom I love. With you, I am well pleased.

Verse 12 at once, immediately some of your translations rendereth. The Spirit sent him out into

the desert. And he was in the desert 40 days being tempted by Satan. He was with the wild

animals and angels attended him.
