Summary

It seems as though some of the esteemed leaders within Judaism were not only continuing to require strict observance to the ceremonial laws found in the Old Covenant, but that they were teaching strange doctrines far beyond these ceremonial rituals. These Judaizers were not merely requiring the continuation of priestly/animal sacrifices but teaching that by eating the meat of these sacrifices, grace would be “infused” through food, rather than “imputed” through faith.

1:12.2	you know that we've been in the book of Hebrews for over a year now. So it's been great,
1:16.2	but I'm excited to move on to another book of the Bible. Thus far, our repertoire as Covenant
1:22.3	Bible Church has been Psalms and Hebrews. And that's it. So that's what we've covered. And we didn't even cover all
1:29.1	the Psalms. If we did, we'd still be there. So, but Lord willing, we will move to another book of the
1:34.6	Bible. I like, you know, Old Testament, New Testament, Old Testament, getting a little bit of both,
1:39.2	a steady diet. And so very likely we will be moving to an Old Testament book of the Bible. because we've done the Psalms and Hebrews now, I'd like to move to a narrative text, genre of scripture.
1:51.3	So instead of proverbs or ecclesiastes or even discourse between Job and his lousy friends, I was thinking more so a narrative text like Exodus or perhaps Joshua. Exodus is
2:05.3	great. It'd be, I don't know, maybe strategic to preach through Exodus because you've got the
