I don't think you have to do things for money anymore. Correct. What's up, Laker fans? Welcome to the Laker Film Room podcast. I'm Pete, joined by Darius, and the Lakers split a pair of games this weekend. First, an entertaining one on Friday night. They came this close to stealing a win in Denver up by three with less than a minute left, but not able to

close it out. But they played hard. They took advantage of not a great effort by Denver. Austin was

incredible as he was again on Sunday. Dalton had 32 and got 27 shots up, which is a skill all

of its own. But Lakers fell just short on Friday night. And then on Sunday,

got a matinee win against kind of depressing Phoenix Sun's team, which you know I love.

There were several things over the last few games that I've been very encouraged by in terms of

like making incremental progress that showed up as a win yesterday, but it's not, that's not

really the point. So I'm coming into today's pod, pretty happy with the progress they've made

over the last few games. How are you looking at the team right now?

Exactly the same way. Remember way earlier in the season when the Lakers were really struggling

and we talked about the idea of at some point, they just have to start playing

better and find their way and find their habits, like, and that may happen even when you lose.

The injuries really knocked the Lakers back. And I thought JJ's comments after the four-game losing

streak and going winless on the road of basically like a

week ago everyone was feeling great about us, including us. And so do not lose that in your mind
