usual playful banner. I am your host today, Father Patrick Mary Brisco, and I'm

joined by Father Jacob Bertrand Jansick and Father Gregory

Maria Pine. I think that because this is an Advent Lexio episode

and we're not doing the usual banter,

all of us can offer a fun fact about Advent.

So my fun fact about Advent is that it's a Gallic custom and it comes from the preparation of

converts who are preparing to be baptized on the Feast of the Epiphany

which as you know for many years was alighted with the Feast of the Baptism of the Lord so that's where the spirit of the season has a penitential season comes from

Father Jacob Bertrand. What's your fun fact for Advent?

Um, there's a wreath.

Nice, that's a Lutheran thing.

Okay, Father Gregory, what's your fun fact for Advent?

Um, my fun fact for Advent? My fun fact about Advent is that in French the word Advent is Avant, which is like Advent.

You'll notice that it's also very, very different.

So I would like to say that I'm learning all kinds of new things by virtue of the cultural experience

that I'm having here in Switzerland.

Can I redo?
