| 0:00.0 | Say, won't he do it? Yes, he will. Thanks so much for tuning into Susie Larson Live Sunday edition. And if you'll listen to the show during the week, you realize, huh, this sounds a little different. And I like it that way. All week long, we do full hour shows. Most often, I'm interviewing guests. Once in a while, I fly solo. But I fly solo every Sunday. And it's just a different format, a shorter format, and I like it because it's like |
| 0:37.8 | we grab a cup of cozy, we kind of snuggle up close, and we listen to the Lord together and |
| 0:42.9 | dig deep into his word together. And as we're walking through this Lenton season, I'm walking |
| 0:47.7 | through my book, waking up to the goodness of God, 40 days toward healing and wholeness. |
| 0:52.5 | And the reason I love the idea of overlaying these 40 days |
| 0:55.4 | with the 40 days of the Lenton season is because it's the journey to the cross where we remember |
| 1:00.7 | the price Jesus paid and the things that we can shed in our lives because of the victory Jesus won |
| 1:07.0 | on the cross. Scripture says that he made a public spectacle of the powers that oppose us. |
| 1:13.3 | And the enemy still, he knows his time is short. So he wields his lies to make them sound like |
| 1:18.8 | truth so that we will take the bait, believe the lie, and find ourselves living in a form of |
| 1:24.2 | captivity that we don't have to. Because again, Jesus came to set captives free. |
| 1:29.2 | And the truth is what sets us free. So today I want to talk about just training ourselves in the |
| 1:35.6 | truth. Jesus says, my sheep, hear me. They know my voice. They know what I sound like. I call them by |
| 1:42.5 | name. I want you to picture him saying, hey, and calling your |
| 1:45.7 | name. And he calls you and he gathers you. And when he gets his flock together, he walks out ahead of |
| 1:50.3 | them and he leads them. And we follow. Here's another passage from John's Gospel chapter 16. |
| 1:57.0 | There's so much more I want to tell you, but you can't bear it now. When the Spirit of Truth comes, |
| 2:02.6 | he will guide you into all truth. He will not speak on his own, but will tell you what he's heard. |
| 2:07.6 | He will tell you about the future. He will bring me glory by telling you whatever he receives from me. |
| 2:13.3 | All that belongs to the Father is mine. This is why I said the Spirit will tell you whatever he |
| 2:18.1 | receives from me. And did you catch that? He will lead you into all truth and tell you about the future. The Spirit of God reveals to us. I mean, we don't get all the details we want. I mean, sometimes I wish he'd tell me more, you know. Sometimes you kind of hear the Lord saying, you're on a need-to-know basis. and when you need to know, I'll let you know. But he really does give us a sense of what's coming. |
| 2:39.0 | He helps us discern the season. He helps us realize the lies we pick up when life let us down. |
