Say, won't he do it? Yes, he will. Thanks so much for tuning into Susie Larson Live Sunday edition. And if you'll listen to the show during the week, you realize, huh, this sounds a little different. And I like it that way. All week long, we do full hour shows. Most often, I'm interviewing guests. Once in a while, I fly solo. But I fly solo every Sunday. And it's just a different format, a shorter format, and I like it because it's like

we grab a cup of cozy, we kind of snuggle up close, and we listen to the Lord together and

dig deep into his word together. And as we're walking through this Lenton season, I'm walking

through my book, waking up to the goodness of God, 40 days toward healing and wholeness.

And the reason I love the idea of overlaying these 40 days

with the 40 days of the Lenton season is because it's the journey to the cross where we remember

the price Jesus paid and the things that we can shed in our lives because of the victory Jesus won

on the cross. Scripture says that he made a public spectacle of the powers that oppose us.

And the enemy still, he knows his time is short. So he wields his lies to make them sound like

truth so that we will take the bait, believe the lie, and find ourselves living in a form of

captivity that we don't have to. Because again, Jesus came to set captives free.

And the truth is what sets us free. So today I want to talk about just training ourselves in the

truth. Jesus says, my sheep, hear me. They know my voice. They know what I sound like. I call them by

name. I want you to picture him saying, hey, and calling your

name. And he calls you and he gathers you. And when he gets his flock together, he walks out ahead of

them and he leads them. And we follow. Here's another passage from John's Gospel chapter 16.

There's so much more I want to tell you, but you can't bear it now. When the Spirit of Truth comes,

he will guide you into all truth. He will not speak on his own, but will tell you what he's heard.

He will tell you about the future. He will bring me glory by telling you whatever he receives from me.

All that belongs to the Father is mine. This is why I said the Spirit will tell you whatever he

receives from me. And did you catch that? He will lead you into all truth and tell you about the future. The Spirit of God reveals to us. I mean, we don't get all the details we want. I mean, sometimes I wish he'd tell me more, you know. Sometimes you kind of hear the Lord saying, you're on a need-to-know basis. and when you need to know, I'll let you know. But he really does give us a sense of what's coming.

He helps us discern the season. He helps us realize the lies we pick up when life let us down.
