When you hear about Hurricane Force Winds, you probably think of places like Florida

or Mississippi or Louisiana, you know, places that usually see hurricanes.

You probably don't think of Missouri or Colorado.

Well, last Wednesday,

Colorado reported wind gusts of over 100 miles an hour.

Air traffic controllers at Kansas City International Airport had to briefly evacuate the tower

due to the high winds.

And Minnesota saw its first ever December tornado,

just days after a series of twisters

decimated other parts of the Midwest and South.

50 reports of tornadoes in Arkansas, Illinois,

Indiana, Kentucky.

One tornado reportedly on the ground in Kentucky for more than 200 miles.

That system cut a path across eight states, killing dozens,

including at least 77 people in Kentucky.
