I'm only going to keep you, you know, about 15 minutes, but it's just time to fill your cup, just enough time to get

your soul stirred and strengthen so then we can send you on your way to be a bright light

in a world that desperately needs your influence. I'm drawing from my book waking up to the

goodness of God 40 days toward healing and wholeness.

And this book really was born out of me developing a posture, bracing for impact.

As you probably know, if you know my story, I've told it plenty of times that I was developing

kind of locked elbows, waiting for the next shoe to drop because so much hard stuff was happening.

And a friend gently confronted me and I realized

I'd lost expectancy. In fact, I submit to you. You can't lock your elbows, brace for impact,

and live with a humble, holy expectancy. And yet holy expectancy is our birthright because we are

children of God. His mercies are new every morning. Daily, the

heavens poor for speech. I mean, God is good and he withholds no good thing from those who walk

up rightly before him. I mean, think about all that God does and is doing. What we can see and most of

what we can't see see so much goodness is coming

after us and so much good is planned for us and when the time is right Jesus will come and get us

and show all that he's been up to on our behalf I want to talk with you about the idea that these

seasons change and that spring is for real.

And I am a hot weather temp girl. I'm happiest in 80 and sunny and even a little humidity. So I got to be honest, it feels like in winter

in the Minnesota region, winter lasts forever. You know, I love blue skies, dry roads, sunshine,

the heat. And I remember a time many years ago when the anguish of my soul lasted so long,
