I want to talk with you about how to pray when you forget who you are.

In Romans, chapter 8, verses 15 to 16, the message paraphrase.

It reads this.

This resurrection life you receive from God is not a timid, grave-tending life. It's adventuously expectant, greeting God with a

child like, what's next, Papa? God's spirit touches our spirits and confirms who we really are.

We know who he is, and we know who we are, father and children, and we know we are going to get

what's coming to us, an unbelievable inheritance. Too often we forget who we are. We can be seasoned

followers of Christ, but enough circumstances line up in a row. It steals our gaze, and suddenly

we're looking down, we're looking back,

we're looking ahead in fear, we're not looking up, and we've forgotten who we are. I remember a

time many years ago. It was one of those weeks when everything that could go wrong did go wrong.

Have you had one of those before? I could not find my groove to save my life and my circumstances

repeatedly tripped me up and stressed me out.
