It just feels more personal. I want you to picture you and I maybe sitting together on a couple

cozy chairs with a cup of decap in our hands and just leaning in and digging into the word.

Today I want to talk about what it means to pray like an air.

Once again, I'll be drawing from my book your powerful prayers, reaching the

heart of God with a bold and humble faith. I lived so much of my Christian life, saved, loved,

with an orphan mentality. And Romans 8, verses 14 to 16, it says this, for all who are led by the

spirit of God are children of God.

So you've not received a spirit that makes you fearful slaves.

Instead, you received God's spirit when he adopted you as his own children.

Now we call him Abba Father.

For his spirit joins with our spirit to affirm, we are God's children. Isn't that great? Wow. This is what Brady Boyd writes

in his book, Sons and Daughters. I want to spend the rest of my days speaking truth born of a fully

convinced heart. God accepts me, radically loves me. He embraces me and calls me his own. Who he is and what he's up to in my life,

well, these things are worth boasting about. Often when I speak on the topic of our identity in Christ

and what it means to pray like an air, I have two tables up on the stage. And it kind of is a prop

heavy message, but it's worth it because the visual is just so important.

One of the tables on the stage is the orphan table. Picture a rickety table that doesn't even sit evenly, and it's kind of all rickety.

And you've got a chair that's just as rickety, and you've got an old steel piece of bread on a cracked plate,

and it just looks like you imagine, like your mouth wants to dry up and your heart aches just looking at it.

Now, in contrast, picture the air table. I mean, imagine it with me.
