Welcome to the Sunday edition of Susie Larson Live.

I've been loving these segments so much. They're a different format. If you listen to the show typically during the week, it's a full hour. And I'm usually interviewing guests, which I love that too. But this has been a fun edition because it's just a little more personal, snuggling up a little bit closer with our little cup of cozy leaning in. I picture you and I sitting across the table,

you had a coffee shop, wrapped in blankets, just snuggling in and talking about some of the

deeper things of God. And in these weeks, I want to just walk through Advent with you.

I'm also drawing from my Advent book, Prepare Him Room. But in this short time together,

I want to talk about ways to make

the most of the holidays. What I've learned after all these years, you know, I love Christmas.

I love the holiday season so much. And yet it's where some of our hardest seasons have landed is

in the holidays. And so the contrast of the festivity of the holiday and the brokenness and our hearts

and our stories has been so stark that it's challenged us to find our footing, to go, what is

the season really about anyway? And it's been good because we remember we find our footing again.

It's not in the pristine hallmark commercial. It's in the reality of how Jesus was born,

that Jesus was born, that he came to us, and he came to us in the dark, in the time of great
