I love this particular show because we just kind of

cast aside the formalities. We scoot in, grab a cup of something cozy up, and have a deeper

life conversation. So hope you don't mind. I want to talk about daring to pray, audacious prayers.

Prayers. The subtitle is Reaching the Heart of God with Bold and Humble Faith. And last Sunday

edition I talked about our authority in Christ and the importance of humility before God.

I hope it goes without saying, but in case it doesn't, we don't approach God, stomping our feet,

shaking our fists, demanding. He's too good of a father to give in to our selfish whims,

and it's no way to approach the Holy God of heaven. As we mature in God, as we grow in wisdom,

we also grow in reverence, right? Where the fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom. As we

humble ourselves, he draws near. I don't ever want to be someone that God needs to distance himself

from, and he does distance himself from the proud, from those who think they know it all, or think

their estimation of themselves is too high. So hopefully we've established that we come

into His presence humbly. But when you understand just what Jesus did for you, what it means

that you were grafted into the royal family line, that you were rescued from the kingdom of darkness and put into the kingdom

of God's dear son, that you have a whole new code. Because scripture says Jesus canceled the

written code against you. So you've got spiritual DNA. You're a brand new creation. You're not an

improvement of the old. You're not an upgrade slightly. You're a brand new creation. You're not an improvement of the old. You're not an upgrade
