I know, extremely prolific snowfall.

While Lake effects snow is common this time of year, these intense snow bands are making travel nearly impossible.

Overnight, Lake Effect Snow blanketing states across the northeast and Midwest, leading to multiple wrecks in upstate New York.

Tractor trailers jackknifing, needing a toe to get them back on the road. People already digging out and they can expect more of that.

At least five states issuing winter alerts with some parts of Pennsylvania, Ohio and New York,

expecting to see as much as six feet of snow in the coming days.

In Erie County, Pennsylvania, residents struggling to free their cars from the snow.
