Wheel of the Year series and so we are now moving into the

Spoke of the Pagod Wheel of the Year called Litha

But for everybody it's summer solstice no matter of what in the Northern hemisphere

It's summer solstice no matter what your belief system may be because that's an astrological event

So what happens is on

Are about the 21st of June in the Northern hemisphere the Sun crosses the traffic of cancer in the Southern hemisphere

crosses the traffic of Capricorn to be winter solstice and so when that happens the timing of that

Makes for in the Northern hemisphere the longest day of the year the Sun shines the longest on that day

So that heralds in astrological summer, but also for pagans

This is a holiday called Litha and we're not really sure where the name comes from

But one of the things that's important to note about all pagan holidays really is that

There are eight major holidays in the wheel and that one of the hallmarks of

The pagan calendar is a need for balance. So as we talked today about Litha and the summer solstice in the
