Hello and welcome to Storytime for grownups. I'm Faith Moore, and this is Summer Session.

During season one, we read Jane Eyre by Charlotte Bronte. From now until September, we'll be

exploring Jane Eyre in once-a-week episodes, which will drop on Mondays, sort of like a college

class, only fun. If this doesn't sound like your thing,

don't worry. Storytime will be back with a new book in September. But for now,

brew a pot of tea, find's really different, I think, than is almost over. I know some of you with kids, probably that your kids are going back to school or

they have gone back to school already. Where I am, it's really different, I think, than a lot of

places where I am. The kids don't go back to school until after Labor Day. I think my oldest

one goes back on September 5th or something like that. So we are still very much in the thick of

summer here, although I'm starting to see it those days

dwindling down, but I think for some of you, you might be feeling like summer is in fact actually

over and kids are back at school.

So thank you for coming along with me on this ride that is almost done this summer and

for bearing with me as I take the summer to be with my kids and be in full summer

mode. But I am gearing up for the fall. And I'm so excited for everything that is coming. If you're

just joining us for the first time and you're looking for the season two book and you're

wondering what's going on here, This is a podcast where we read

classic literature chapter by chapter with a few notes along the way, like an audiobook with built

in notes, but we have been in summer sessions since, I guess since May, and we are still in it

until September. The announcement for the next book, the season two book, has not been made yet,

but will be very soon. On August 22nd, which is a Thursday, you will get that trailer

dropping into your podcast feed, and that will reveal the next book and what it's going to be.
