Hello and welcome to Storytime for Grownups. I'm Faith Moore, and this is summer session.

0:07.8

Normally on Story Time for Grownups, we read classic literature, a few chapters at a time with a few

0:13.6

notes along the way, like an audiobook with built-in notes. But during the summer, we switch

0:19.3

things up a little. From now until September,

0:22.4

we will be in summer session, which is sort of like a college class, only fun. This summer,

0:28.7

we're exploring fairy tales and their relationship to the books we've read this year on

0:33.2

storytime and storytelling more broadly. We'll do this in once-a-week episodes, which will drop

0:39.0

on Mondays. If this doesn't sound like your thing, don't worry. Storytime will be back with a new

0:45.1

book in September. But for now, brew a pot of tea, find a cozy chair, and settle in. Class

0:53.2

is in session.

Hi everyone. Welcome back. We are in our second Maidenhood episode today. So we're continuing our

1:25.6

Session, you can find last week's episode,

1:28.4

but otherwise, stay here with us. I'm so glad you're here. I'm always so happy to be with you.

1:34.1

Thank you for listening. Thank you for being a part of this summer. I know it's not exactly what

1:40.0

this show is meant to be. This is a show where we read classic books aloud a few chapters

1:44.4

at a time with a few notes along the way and we take questions about it and we deep dive into

1:48.7

all of these things and in the summer we're doing something a little different. So I really am

1:52.8

so grateful that you've come along for the ride that we've picked up new people along the way.

1:57.2

I'm always so amazed when that happens and so thrilled. So thank you for joining us in

2:02.9

whatever capacity you are joining us, whether you've been listening since the very, very beginning
